RTB32: Dhaka – Sundarban - Cox’s Bazar – Bandarban – Dhaka11 days, 10 nights (Air Trip)
Cox’s Bazar lies approximately 150 kilometers south of Chittagong. The beach, with a gentle slope to the Bay of Bengal, stretches over a length of nearly 120 kilometers and is acknowledged to be the longest continuous natural beach in the world. Even without the silvery sands, surfing waves and rare conch shells, Cox’s Bazar also offers variety of indigenous groups, numerous Buddhist temples and a bustling early morning fish market.
Sundarban is the world biggest mangrove forest which is situated in Khulna division, the southwest part of Bangladesh. A large number of foreigners come to Bangladesh every year only to visit this unique mangrove forest. Besides, local tourists also go to visit Sundarban every year. The area of great Sundarban is approximately 6000 sq. km.
Day – 01
Welcome to RTB special trip. Leave Dhaka in the morning by first flight to Khulna. Upon arrive in Khulna you will be transferred to Mongla. After check in the hotel, have lunch and rest. In the afternoon cross the river visit Mongla Bazar then come back hotel, have dinner, and overnight at Mongla Parjotan Hotel Pashur.
Day – 02
Early in the morning, leave Mongla for Sundarban. The boat will immediately start cruising towards the Sundarban forest, en-route collecting permit from the Daingmari forest station and anchored for overnight stay at Kachikhali, tiger point. In the afternoon, beach walk and hiking in the Kochikhali area to see the wild life and forest. Back to the boat in the evening and overnight at kachikhali on the boat.
Day – 03
Early in the morning we shall offer trip through small creeks and canals by country boat to see the wildlife and feel the forest from very close. After breakfast jungle walk, beach walk, sun-bathing (swimming) etc. will be offered. After on early lunch at around 1:00 pm the boat will leave for Kotka wildlife sanctuary. In the afternoon, more forest activities including climbing the watch tower to have a glimpse of the forest, forest walk around kotka forest office etc. will be offered. Overnight stay and the meals on the boat at Kotka.
Day – 04
fter an early breakfast leave Kotka for Mongla. In the afternoon the boat will stop at Karamjal wild life breeding center, where you can see some wild life being reared by the forest department. Arrive at Mongla in the evening and check-in to the Hotel Pashur. Have dinner and overnight at Mongla.
Day – 05
After an early breakfast, drive to Bagerhat to explore the sixty Domed Mosque, the World Heritage Site, Tomb of Khan Jahan and adjacent areas including some other mosques and Holly men Grave. On the way have lunch at local restaurant and come back Hotel Pashur, have dinner over night at Mongla.
Day – 06
Take the domestic flight for going back to Dhaka. Upon arrival in Dhaka receive and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Dhaka.
Day – 07
Free day in Dhaka, for doing things of your own choice. Overnight at the hotel Dhaka.
Day – 08
After breakfast leave Dhaka by first flight to Cox’s Bazar. Upon arrival Cox’s Bazar check-in hotel and rest. After lunch, enjoy the sea-beach then visit to the “Broken Hill” and waterfalls of Himchori (32 km. south from Cox’s Bazar), Inani beach, fish market etc.
Return to the Cox’s Bazar for overnight stay and having dinner.
Day – 09
Full-day sightseeing activities in and around Cox’s Bazar included boat ride, etc. and in the evening enjoy the sunset in the beach and overnight at the hotel in Cox’s Bazar.
Day – 10
After breakfast drive to Bandarban. Check in at the Hillside Resort. After lunch drive to Tiger Hill, a scenic view point from where you can see Bandarban town. The nearby Meghla Holiday Complex features a mini-safari-park, a zoo, and a hanging bridge. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Day – 11
After breakfast we will take you to the Neelgiri and Chimduk, the highest peak in Bangladesh accessible by motorized vehicle. From this scenic point you have a stunning view over the flat floodplains of the Ganges Delta. After a visit to the nearby Murong village we’ll stop at Shoilopropat, a visit to the Bawm village in Faruk Para will be arranged.
After lunch drive to Balaghata, only a short distance from Bandarban town, to visit the largest Buddhist temple in Bangladesh named Jadi temple.
Drive back to the resort, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day – 12 Free till transfer to the airport for taking the flight back to Dhaka. Upon arrival at Dhaka, check-in the hotel for overnight stay.
